Hale Centre Theatre - Arizona is a theatre-in-the-round producing published Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals, comedies, and dramas year round with local artists.

We use Casting Manager to send out casting notices to interested actors about upcoming auditions. Casting Manager is a free service to actors. You are highly encouraged to post your headshot, resume, and video reel to be considered for our productions.

We hold open auditions for each show. Call backs are by invitation only. You will audition only once per show, so if you are interested in multiple roles within a show, you may indicate so on your audition sign up. Once casting is complete an email will be sent to all actors who were called back.

Most of the time we hire local actors on a show by show basis, but out-of-town actors will be considered for select roles. We are a non-union house and do not hire Equity actors.

All of our auditions allow video submissions. If you are unable to attend the audition, please submit a video using the instructions provided on the audition notice.

GENERAL AUDITION INFORMATION

MUSICAL AUDITIONS

Actors should come prepared for the following:

• Be prepared to sing 16 bars of music.

• Bring your own sheet music; an accompanist will be provided.

• When you make an audition appointment, please post your headshot and resume to your Casting Manager profile. There is no need to bring a copy of your headshot or resume as long as your Casting Manager profile is complete.

STRAIGHT PLAYS

Actors should come prepared for the following:

• The audition will consist of sides from the script. Please prepare only 1 side to read.

• Sides will be determined by the director, and in most cases will be posted on Casting Manager a few days prior to the audition.

• There is no need to prepare a monologue. Readings will be given to you ahead of time or will be given to you when you arrive at the theater.

• From the character breakdown provided by the theater, choose only one role to read for.

• When you make an audition appointment, please post your headshot and resume to your Casting Manager profile. There is no need to bring a copy of your headshot or resume as long as your Casting Manager profile is complete.

Auditions are open to everyone, no matter their experience. All ethnicities are encouraged to audition. Additional audition questions can be directed to auditions@haletheatrearizona.com .
